Superdelegate Creator Tad Devine Open to Reexamination of System
Yesterday in Washington, D.C. WHY TUESDAY? had a wide-ranging exclusive conversation with political consultant Tad Devine, a creator of the present-day Democratic superdelegate system.
* On the role of Democratic superdelegates today versus their intended role: “Should they reflect the will of the people who voted in the state or are they free to do what they want? I think it’s pretty clear, if you look at the history of their creation, they are free to do what they want.”
* On the early pledging of superdelegates: “That’s not out of ratio with what we’ve seen in the past… most of them are still, technically, on the record uncommitted.”
* On whether or not superdelegates are undemocratic: “I guess it depends on how you define democratic.”
* On whether or not the superdelegate system is broken: “I think frankly after 25 years or so of, you know, it’s about time we stepped back and take another hard look at our nominating process, a serious look.”

Lenny is back from The Grammys, and Funnyman Scott Towler stopped by the studio
After playing Kanye talking smack on Common, Royce played a clip of Nas promoting his new album “Nigger”
Nas also wore a shirt promoting the album’s name, which bothered a CNN reporter
In response to a reference by Nas’s woman, Royce played John Lennon talking about his song “Woman is the Nigger of the World”
Royce then ripped Katt Williams for being a “little pussy” during The Flava Flav Roast
Lenny sort of requested Jane Fonda’s “Cunt” and it was played
Then a discussion on shootings and rampages turned into a heated debate between Royce and Grady on Gun Control
After the break, Royce actually played Lennon’s song
Grady mentioned the All Star Dunk contest from the night before, Lenny agreed it was the best Dunk contest he’s seen in a long time
Royce then repeated his favorite Dunk moments after Grady highlighted the same dunk
Then Royce played the song “Woman is the Nigger of the World”
Grady spit over some instrumental “Country Grammar” courtesy of Nelly
The guys pondered Black History Month
Then Grady brought up Obama and his likeness to JFK
Royce coined a new word “NONTROVERSY”
Lenny slowly posted the NEW WORD on the blog
Grady killed the show by trying to add someone BIG to the shit list
Royce declined and shifted gears into a rant about the quality of Sirius Satellite radio and the need for congress to resolve the merger with XM radio
Grady and Royce agreed that the US Congress is out of their minds to investigate the MLB for steroids usage and that it could shut down the entire sports industry
Lenny said parton instead pardon
TUNE IN FOR THE REST!!!
